Folders in Ziflow are collaborative workspaces. As your project needs evolve, you can rename, move, clone, archive, or delete folders. To create a folder, see Organize your proofs using folders: create a folder.

Available on: Standard Pro Enterprise

Access folder actions

In the Folders panel next to the proofs list, right-click a folder(or use the Options menu (three.dots)) and choose the action you want from the context menu.

Edit a folder

Choose Edit to:

  • Rename the folder
  • Change the folder location (move it)
  • Switch between Public and Private (the globe and key icons)

Note: Changing folder visibility affects how other users can interact with it.

Public vs. private folders

When creating or editing a folder, you can set its visibility.

Setting Who can access
Private Only the owner, administrators, and invited users
Public All users in your Ziflow account can create proofs here, but cannot view folder contents unless shared with them

Clone a folder

Choose Clone to create a copy of a folder, including:

  • Subfolder structure (optional)
  • Share settings (which you can update)
  • Folder name and privacy settings

You become the owner of the cloned folder.

Archive a folder

Choose Archive to clean up your workspace without deleting content. Archived items are hidden from the main view but not lost. For more information, see Archive proofs and folders.

You’ll be asked if you want to archive:

  • Only the folder (and subfolders)
  • The folder and all proofs inside it

Delete a folder

Choose Delete to permanently remove a folder. Only folder owners, managers, or administrators can delete folders. This action cannot be undone.

You must decide to:

  • Keep or delete proofs inside the folder
  • Keep or delete subfolders
