View proofs in Canvas view

Canvas view displays all the proofs in a folder as an interactive, resizable workspace where teams can view, arrange, and review multiple proofs at once. It’s designed for visual collaboration across full campaigns or creative sets. To create a folder and add your proofs to it, see Organize your proofs using folders: create a folder.

Think of it as a virtual whiteboard for seeing the big picture, organizing assets spatially, and moving seamlessly between reviews.

Use to:

  • Collaborate across media types
  • Compare variants (e.g., regionalized ads, A/B designs)

  • Resize proofs individually or set global scale
  • Select any proof to open it for markup, feedback, and decision
  • View large campaigns or creative sets in one place

Archived items and folders are not visible in Gallery and Canvas views.

Open Canvas view

There are two ways to open Canvas view:

  • In the Folders panel next to the proofs list, right-click a folder(or use the Options menu (three.dots)) and choose Review. Switch between Canvas view and Gallery view with the View mode setting. For information about Gallery view, see View proofs in Gallery view.

  • Use a shareable link. See Share folder links to a Gallery view.

Reviewer experience

Reviewers with access via a shareable link or invitation can view all proofs in the folder.

Permissions still apply. Commenting, decisions, and visibility depend on:

  • Folder sharing settings
  • Proof security settings

Close and return to the Dashboard

Select the Home icon to return to the main Dashboard.

Change folders

Use the breadcrumb path at the top to move between parent and subfolders.

Click into subfolders to drill deeper into project structures.

Arrange your workspace

Click and drag proofs anywhere on the board to rearrange your workspace manually. Your Canvas view arrangement is not shared with anyone else reviewing the proofs.

Change layout 

Customize the information and name length:

Show proof info: Display metadata information.

Proof name length: Choose to show full name or single-line.

Change layout type

Choose from the preset layout types.

Preset Description
Multi-asset (default)
  • Order - Height

  • Scale type - Selective scale down

  • Layout direction - Wrap

Multi-variant
  • Order - Size width

  • Scale type - original size

  • Layout direction - horizontal

Photo selection
  • Order - name

  • Scale type - original size

  • Layout direction - wrap

Document
  • Order - name

  • Scale type - original size

  • Layout direction - wrap

Custom When you change any of the options (order, scale, layout), the layout option changes to Custom. Ziflow will use these settings the next time you choose Custom.

Change layout direction

Arrange your workspace in:

  • Wrap - Arranges proofs so they wrap in your window
  • Horizontal - Arranges proofs horizontally

Change proof scale type

  • Original size - Display proofs in their original uploaded size
  • Same size - Scale to be same size
  • Selective scale down - Adjust to fit the Canvas view

Sort proofs

Sort your proofs by 

  • date
  • name
  • size-width
  • size-height
  • size-maxside
  • size-area

Review proofs from Canvas view

You cannot review proofs directly in Canvas view, but you can open the Proof Viewer from your canvas. 

To open and review a proof:

  1. Double-click on the proof thumbnail or name. The proof opens in Proof Viewer.
  2. Annotate, comment, or submit decisions as usual.
  3. Once done, click X to return to Canvas view and continue reviewing.
