ReviewAI gives you the best results when you have good checklists and good prompts. The goal is to create prompts from your checklist items that help ReviewAI accurately determine whether a proof should pass or fail each checklist item requirement.

  • Pass: The proof meets the checklist item requirement.
  • Fail: The proof does not meet the checklist item requirement.

ReviewAI is available as a paid add-on for Enterprise customers. To learn more about enabling ReviewAI and our introductory pricing, please contact your Ziflow Customer Success Manager.

Ziflow provides tools to make creating prompts easier, but some work is required to get the most out of ReviewAI.

Typical workflow

  1. Create a checklist with clear, specific descriptions for each checklist item. Use the checklist item description as a starting point to create the ReviewAI prompt description.
  2. Enable ReviewAI on the checklist.
  3. Add the checklist to a proof.
  4. Run ReviewAI to get suggested results.
  5. Review the results, confirming or overriding as needed.
  6. Edit the checklist and review and edit your prompts to improve accuracy and reliability

ReviewAI, like all AI tools, can make mistakes. Human review is an important component to the workflow to refine AI reliability. The reliability of ReviewAI depends on how well prompts are written. Clear, unambiguous prompts produce better results.

Create checklists

To get started with ReviewAI, you need to create a checklist in Ziflow with descriptions for each checklist item.

To create a checklist template, see Create checklist templates.

Create ReviewAI prompt descriptions

ReviewAI starts with your checklist item description as a prompt which you can edit. Clear and detailed descriptions are a solid starting point.

To create ReviewAI prompt descriptions, see Create and edit ReviewAI prompt descriptions and ReviewAI prompt description guidelines.

Enable ReviewAI on checklists

Enable ReviewAI on your checklist template to turn on the ReviewAI feature in the Proof Viewer. If Enable ReviewAI is not available, turn on ReviewAI in your Administration settings.

  1. Go to Settings > Proofing Settings > Checklists and select your checklist to open it.
  2. Select Enable ReviewAI below the Checklist description field.

Checklists that you add to a proof after you enable ReviewAI will have ReviewAI.

Exclude a checklist item from ReviewAI analysis

You can exclude checklist items from ReviewAI analysis when they aren’t applicable or haven’t been fully tested for reliability. ReviewAI skips these items when it runs in the Proof Viewer.

  1. Go to Settings > Proofing Settings > Checklists and select your checklist to open it.
  2. Select the checklist item you wish to exclude.
  3. Select Exclude this item from ReviewAI.
The link to edit the prompt is not accessible when the item is excluded.

Add checklists to your proof

After you enable ReviewAI on a checklist, any proof that you create which includes that checklist will have ReviewAI. See Add checklists to a proof.

Proofs using a checklist before you enable ReviewAI will not have ReviewAI enabled until your administrator resets the checklist in the Proof Viewer. For more information, see Edit a checklist template.

Verify ReviewAI results

Your feedback improves ReviewAI accuracy for your account over time. In the Checklist panel, review the AI’s suggestions for each item. For more information, see Verify ReviewAI results.

Review and edit

It may take some iterating to get the prompt wording right for a checklist item. If ReviewAI’s suggestion doesn’t match your decision, or if the rationale in the ReviewAI suggested result isn’t accurate, adjust the ReviewAI prompt description and test it.

For more information on checklist editing, see Edit a checklist template

To add and manage prompt descriptions, including using AI to improve your prompts, see Create and edit ReviewAI prompt descriptions.
