When you create a proof, use the Security section to set access rules, manage original file downloads, allow self-subscription to proofs, and require e-signatures on decisions to keep your review process secure and compliant. You can choose to share proofs with registered users and guests.

Ziflow administrators can set default proof security for users. For more information, see Configure default proof settings.

Available on: Free Standard Pro Enterprise

Note: Screen captures reflect the Enterprise edition of Ziflow. If you’re on a different edition, some features or options might not appear in your view.

To configure proof security, in the New proof window, open the Security section.

Access

This setting determines if your reviewers need to authenticate to access the proof.

Choose your access security setting:

  • Users & Guests (Authentication not required)

  • Users only (Authentication not required)
  • Users (Authentication required)
  • Users & Guests (Authentication required) - Enterprise

When authentication is required, Ziflow will:

  • Generate a unique token and email it to the guest reviewer
  • Ask users to log in before accessing the proof. For more information, see Proof Security Settings.

Download of the original file

Enable this setting to let reviewers download the proof's original file. A download icon is visible in the Proof Viewer and on the Proof Details page.

Multiple files inside a proof will be downloaded as a zip file.

Note: You cannot enable downloads if your proof is a Live URL.

Electronic signatures

Available on: Enterprise

If this setting is enabled, you can only share the proof with users (not guests), and reviewers must sign their decisions on the proof electronically. For more about electronic signatures, see Submit a decision or complete a review in the Proof Viewer.

Proof subscriptions

Enable this setting to allow anyone to subscribe to the proof and make comments and decisions.  For more information, see Proof subscriptions.
