Using the Ziflow Legacy Viewer

Summary: Legacy Proof Viewer is the main part of Ziflow. It allows reviewers to review and submit decisions for uploaded assets. Various built-in features will allow proof reviewers to assess creatives, leave feedback & make decisions. This document is a great starting point for any reviewers who were invited to collaborate on a proofing project in Ziflow.

 

Available for: Ziflow Proof Viewer is available for each reviewer invited to the proof. There are no limitations; simply click on a proof invitation and start collaborating with others on the project.

 

Reviewers may or may not see certain buttons depending on the proof permissions they have been granted.

 

How does it work?

Exit button in the Legacy Viewer

 

1. Exit

 

Click to exit the Proof Viewer.

 

 

 

Folder button in the Legacy Viewer

 

 

 

 

2. Folder

This feature allows reviewers to quickly switch between proofs residing in the same folder from within the Proof Viewer.

Click to view details about the proof.

Click to lock or unlock the proof (only visible for “Proof Owners” or users with “Manage” rights).

7. Download the original file

This will let you download the original proof file/s locally on your device. This button will be displayed only when if the corresponding setting is applied during proof creation. on

8. Export comments to PDF

If your review and approval process includes exporting records of proofs for historical or auditing purposes, Ziflow supports the PDF export.

9. Switch version

Click to see all versions of the proof - old versions will have a padlock beside them, meaning they can be displayed but cannot be changed. Select the version you wish to display.

Click to either create a new proof version or create a new proof - (only visible for “Proof Owners” or users with “Manage” rights).

Users with comment-only rights will see a “Finish Review” button. Users with decision permissions will see a “Submit Decision” button - click to select your decision.

15. Proof Viewer settings

Each reviewer is able to adjust the Proof Viewer settings, such as comment layout, comment pins, compare mode defaults and dark mode theme to their individual preferences.

16. Text Search

When a spelling mistake is made, it’s possible to occur in multiple places on a proof. With the “Text Search” feature, reviewers will be able to look for the same words or sentences throughout the whole text.

Click to reveal or hide the page thumbnails (only displays on proofs that have more than one page or multiple files in a proof).

Scroll through the pages by clicking on the next page or the previous page.

20. Proof Navigator

The Navigator provides a mini-preview of the proof page and highlights what part of the page you are viewing with a RED box. You can move the red box around in the Navigator window to pan around the proof.

22. Panning mode

Panning mode allows you to click and drag the proof around the proof window. When a panning mode is activated, the hand turns blue. If it is deactivated, it will be black. If you select the measurement tool or any markup tool, the panning mode will automatically be deactivated.

This is a shortcut to automatically let Ziflow resize the proof to best fit in the proofing window.

25. Marquee zoom

Click to enter marquee zoom mode. Then please click and hold a left mouse button over the proof. Select which part of the proof you want to zoom in. Once you click the mouse button, the selected part of the proof will be zoomed in.

The popup menu allows you to pick a zoom level from a predetermined list of options.

Additional Information:

  • If you hold the ctrl or apple key down, the mouse scroll wheel will zoom in and out.
