Don't worry, for more significant enhancements, you can still check out our blog, as well as read our newsletter. If you have questions about these items, don't hesitate to contact our support team.

Updates to Ziflow’s Proof Viewer:

Visual changes to text markup: tokens shaded red, green, and blue

In our latest release, we're excited to unveil visual enhancements to text markup, designed to improve clarity and readability for all of your users. Now, when using the text selection markup tool, you’ll notice the resultant comment includes a color-coded set of tokens to make each action easier to identify and understand at a glance.

The "Replace" and "Delete" tokens now feature a striking red color, while "With" and "Insert" tags are highlighted in green. "After" and "Selected" tokens are now displayed in a neutral blue color, ensuring consistent and intuitive visual cues throughout the markup process.

To further clarify that the selected text is being marked for removal or replacement, this copy is now shaded in red and struck-through, making it immediately recognizable within the context of the comment.

These visual updates are a direct response to feedback from our customers, particularly those who rely on text-based feedback in Ziflow for their review processes. In an upcoming release, we plan on adding one-click copying of suggested text to the user’s clipboard, making it easy for designers to capture written feedback and paste it directly into the production file.

Support for video proofs in 4K resolution

While users have always been able to upload videos for feedback and approval in 4K quality, Proof Viewer would only show a preview in 1080p HD. With this release, Ziflow now offers support for reviews of videos in 4K resolution inside our collaborative proofing tool.

To facilitate this, we've introduced a new account-level setting called "Video proofing resolution." This setting allows Ziflow Admins to select from one of two options:

  • Fast Preview: This is the default option, optimized for quick previewing and efficient processing of videos up to full HD

  • Detail Focus: This option allows for a more detailed and immersive viewing experience in resolution up to 4K

It's important to note that the support for 4K resolution applies only to newly uploaded videos—existing HD video proofs will not be retroactively upscaled to 4K resolution. In addition, be aware that selecting the "Detail Focus" option may lead to a longer processing time when uploading video proofs. This extended processing period may result in a slightly longer duration during which the proof will be unavailable for viewing.

Updates to Ziflow’s Dashboard:

Updates to Folder View in Proof Viewer: Reviewer decisions

With this week’s release, Ziflow has delivered the first part in a multi-part project to enhance the Folder View experience within Proof Viewer. When viewing a folder in Proof Viewer via the Folder Shareable Link, you'll now notice a crucial addition: reviewer decisions are displayed directly on each asset within the folder. This will allow users to quickly and easily identify the decisions they made on each asset without navigating away from the folder view.

Updates to Folder View in Proof Viewer: Reviewer decisions

This update represents just the start of our broader initiative to transform the Folder View experience, as part of Project Mosaic, as discussed in detail in our Q1 Product Release Webinar.

Be on the lookout for additional changes to folder sharable links and Folder View in future releases, including the ability to view a folder in Proof Viewer with a single click from Ziflow’s Dashboard.

Updates to Ziflow’s software integrations:

New Basecamp and Wrike widgets in Ziflow’s integration panel

We’ve added the ability to enable new dedicated widgets in Ziflow’s Integrations panel, for Basecamp and/or Wrike. Similar to what’s already available for Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, Jira, Trello, and more, these widgets inside of Ziflow's proof setup and details panels will make managing your projects and tasks easier than before.

Whether you're creating a new proof or reviewing feedback, the widget provides instant access to projects and tasks in Basecamp or Wrike, allowing you to make real-time updates and streamline your workflow without switching between platforms.
