Download original lets you download the source file that was uploaded to create the version of a proof. To export a file with comments, see Export proof report or PDF with comments.
Ziflow gives you the file that was uploaded to create the version of the proof. It’s not altered by Ziflow, meaning:
- No markup, comments, or version overlays are included.
- File quality, resolution, and metadata remain as they were when uploaded.
Ziflow administrators must enable Allow download of the original file to give proof creators this option. See Configure default proof settings.
Enable file downloading in proofs
Enable Download of the original file in Security settings when you create the proof or on the Proof Details page to let reviewers download the proof's source file.
Downloads cannot be enabled for Live URL proofs.
- When creating or editing a proof, open the Security section.
- Enable the Download of the original file option.
Reviewers will see a download icon on the Proof Details page and a download option in the Proof Viewer main menu.
If multiple files exist, they download as a zip archive.
Download from Proof Details
When downloads are permitted, a download icon is visible on the Proof Details page. Select the proof version and then the download icon.
Multiple files inside a proof will be downloaded as a zip file.
You cannot download a proof if it is a Live URL.
Download with bulk actions
Ziflow users can download source proof version files totalling up to 1 TB and prepare them in a single ZIP file. When using bulk actions, you will download the latest proof version.
In your Dashboard, select the proofs you want to download.
From the Bulk actions bar, select the download icon.
When the ZIP file is ready, it is emailed to you, or you can click the link in the banner in your Dashboard to download the ZIP file.
Download proofs from the Proof Viewer
The download may not be available depending on your proof settings:
- Open the proof in the Proof Viewer.
- From the Proof Viewer main menu (three bars), choose Download original.
The file downloads automatically on your device.
