Customize the names of individual assets in Batch Review proofs

For many companies, file names are coded for cataloging purposes, often as a string of numbers and letters. This makes it difficult for a non-creative team member to easily recognize the content of the asset simply by reading the file name. For stakeholders using Ziflow to offer feedback via a Batch Review, the display name of the asset matched the file name, making it difficult to understand the content of each asset before selecting it for review.

Customize the names of individual assets in Batch Review proofs

With this release, we’ve introduced the ability to change the display name of each asset in a Batch Review, helping to provide much-needed information to reviewers. Adding context-based display names will ensure that individual assets are more easily identifiable and that reviews can be conducted more efficiently.

Proof creators can customize display names either via Intake Forms or through the New Proof creation modal. After assets have been uploaded and the Proof has been created, Admins can click the “Multiple Assets” menu within the Proof Details panel to change display names in an active Batch Review.

Terminology update: “Review” -> “Proof”

In a shift back to our foundational terminology, we are reinstating the use of the term “Proof” across all of Ziflow’s solutions—including our Dashboard and inside the Ziflow Viewer. While the term “Review” was a broader way to describe the actions being taken by users of our platform, “Proof” more accurately encapsulates the object being reviewed, and reflects our role and reputation in the market.

New proof(s)

This decision isn’t simply about semantics; it’s deeply rooted in our identity as pioneers in the online proofing category and our status as the only enterprise-grade collaborative proofing platform available today. By referring to our core object as “Proof,” we reaffirm our commitment to leading the industry and enhancing the collaborative efforts of teams worldwide.

User avatars without images are now automatically assigned a unique color (part 2 of 2)

In a release earlier this month, we delivered a feature that automatically assigns a unique color to the avatar of any user who has yet to upload a custom image, making it easier to distinguish between reviewers at a glance within Proof Viewer and Ziflow’s Dashboard.

(email notifications)

With this release, we’re extending support for that unique user avatar color to PDF exports, email notifications, and hourly digests, unifying this behavior across all aspects of the software.
