Dropbox events

Dropbox events are something that happens in Dropbox that can start automation flows.

You can also start a flow using an intake form or a Ziflow event.

  1. Open the Connect tab and select Create Flow.

  2. In Choose Application, select Dropbox
    If you do not see Dropbox, you need to connect your Dropbox account. See Connect Dropbox Cloud Storage.

    These Dropbox events can be used to start your automation flow.

A file is added to a folder

An event starts when a file is added to a selected Dropbox folder. Use this event to automatically create proofs when new assets are added to it. See Use Dropbox and Google Drive for automated proof creation.

Field Description
File type Choose Any or limit the events to specific file types that can start proof creation.
Add custom extensions Enter one or more custom file extensions, pressing Enter after each one. For information about files that Ziflow supports, see Supported file types and sizes.
Folder

Choose the Dropbox folder that starts the event when files are added to it.

You can also include all subfolders, define file name patterns, or restrict the event to files added by specific users (by user name or email address). 

 

A file is modified

An event starts when a file is modified in a selected Dropbox folder.

Field Description
File type Choose Any or limit the events to specific file types that can start proof creation.

A file is deleted

An event is started when a file is deleted from a selected Dropbox folder.
