In this article, you'll find a list of our most impactful new features and enhancements that we have released this month.

Don't worry, for more significant enhancements, you can still check out our blog, as well as read our newsletter. If you have questions about these items, don't hesitate to contact our support team.

Proof Viewer: support for image transparency

With this release, Ziflow’s Proof Viewer now supports image transparency for original images, allowing you to view see-through elements rendered as intended, including PNGs and GIFs. For more information, see Change background in the Proof Viewer.

Note: Transparency is supported only when original images are displayed. If the Show original image setting is configured to use a size threshold, images below that threshold will retain transparency in the Proof Viewer. If the setting is configured to Always process, transparency will not be preserved. For information about this setting, see Configure default Proof Viewer settings > Other options > Show original image.

Coming soon: Full support for transparency, regardless of image size. This update will help to ensure that what you see in Ziflow matches how your assets were designed to appear in the real world.

Proof Viewer: view images with different background contexts

Reviewers can now toggle between different backgrounds—white, black, “default” (based on their light/dark mode preference in Proof Viewer), or a checkerboard pattern—to view how any asset—including those with transparency—appear in different visual contexts. Finally, we’ve included a custom color picker, complete with a color palette and hex code field, for even more visual flexibility.

For more information, see Change background in the Proof Viewer.

Updates to CSV data export (in public preview): Date format settings; time zone control options

By default, Ziflow exports date fields in ISO format (e.g. 2025-06-16T16:08:40Z), which isn’t always compatible with tools like Google Sheets, or optimized for human readability. With this release, we’re adding a new account-level setting that allows Admins to choose between the default ISO format or a more standard, spreadsheet-friendly display (Basic format) for date fields in CSV exports. For more information, see Configure default  proof  settings.

Separately, we’ve added a new time zone selector in the CSV export modal. Exporters can now choose whether timestamps appear in UTC or in their local time zone, making it easier to interpret proof activity across distributed or co-located teams. UTC offers a consistent global reference point, while local time helps contextualize review events from the perspective of individual users. For more information, see Export data to CSV.

Note: This feature is still in public preview, and these enhancements were driven directly by customer feedback, which is very much appreciated. Your input will help us shape a better export experience ahead of general availability.
