Add comments and markup

During a review, you can add comments and markup (highlighting areas of the proof with markup tools). 

 

Any user or guest reviewer with Comment permissions can comment.

Add comments

Comments cannot be added to locked versions of a proof.

  1. In the Proof Viewer, select the Comment + icon in the upper-right corner to open the comments.

  2. To create a comment without markup, enter your comment in the comment area.

  3. Select Post (Ctrl + Enter) to publish the post to the comment list.


Add markup

Markup cannot be added to locked versions of a proof.

  1. In the Proof Viewer, select the Comment + icon in the upper-right corner to open the comments. 

  2. Select a tool from the toolbar (square, circle, arrow, line, freehand drawing tool, or text annotation tool).

  3. Select your preferred markup color.

  4. Click and drag over the area on the proof you wish to markup. Once done, you can:
    Resize the markup by using the anchor points displayed when you hover over the markup.
    Delete the markup by clicking on the trash can icon, which appears in the top right of the markup.
    Scroll through the pages of a multipage document to apply multiple markups, if you want to connect it to a single comment.

  5. Enter a comment for the markup.
  6. Select Post to publish it in the comment list.

  • To add comments & markups on the Live website or Rich Media proofs, install the Ziflow plugin in your browser.
