Reviewers can record and attach voice comments directly within a comment. In Google Chrome, reviewers can also generate a transcript that Ziflow can summarize using AI, making it easier to provide natural, detailed feedback.

Live comments uses AI to summarize transcribed voice comments. For information about how Ziflow handles and protects data, see Ziflow's Data Processing Addendum.

Available on: Enterprise

This feature is in Private Preview phase. Private Preview allows early access to users who sign up, so they can test new features and share feedback before the full public release.

Limitations

Live voice comments currently have the following limitations:

  • One voice recording per comment.
  • If a recording is canceled, you can record a new one for that comment.
  • Voice comments are attached to individual comments and cannot be combined.
  • Full voice comment functionality, including transcription, is currently supported only in Google Chrome.
  • In Firefox and Safari, voice recording is supported, but automatic transcription and AI summaries are  not available.
  • Live voice comments are not currently supported in the Final Cut plugin. Audio recording may not function correctly in this environment.

Enable live comments

To use live comments you must enable the feature in the Proof Viewer. By default this feature is disabled.

  1. In the Proof Viewer, select the menu icon and choose Proof Viewer settings

  2. Enable Live comments.
When you create a new comment, the microphone icon will display in the bottom-right corner of the comment window.

Disabling live comments will not remove any existing live comments or recording attachments in your proof.

Create a live comment

For full functionality, use the Google Chrome browser.

Live comment transcription is supported for languages supported by Google Chrome Live Captions. In Google Chrome, go to Settings > Accessibility and set the Live Caption default language.

To start a recording on a comment:

  1. Select the Add comment icon.
  2. Select the Record comment icon (microphone) at the bottom-right of the Comment window.

  3. Start talking and marking up the proof. Ziflow records your voice and transcribes the speech into text.
  4. When you are finished, select the stop recording icon. Ziflow will take a moment to create an AI summary of the recording.

  5. Review the transcript and summary and make changes if necessary. When you are happy with the comment, select Post.

You can remove the recording and keep the comment. When editing the comment, select the trash can icon next to the recording link. You cannot recover deleted recordings.

Play back a live comment

  1. Open the comment with the live comment.
  2. Select the recording link under the transcript.
