The Font inspector lets you view the font families, sizes, styles, and weights used in a proof created from a PDF or other file format with a text layer.

Available on: Enterprise

This feature is in Public Preview.

For information about limitations, support, and risks during release phases, see Ziflow feature release phases.

The Font inspector:

  • Analyzes static documents.

  • Recognizes text created in text editors.

  • Does not detect text in images.

Open the Font inspector

From the Proof Viewer, select the Font inspector in the toolbar to open the Font inspector.

If no fonts are detected, the Proof Viewer does not display the Font inspector.

Choose a viewing mode

Use Browse or Point to see mode to inspect fonts. If you switch between Browse and Point-to-see modes, your filter selections remain until you clear filters.

Browse mode

Browse mode displays all detected font data.

Use the filters to explore your proof. For example, select the font family to highlight all matching sizes, styles, and weights.

Refine your selection, then use the arrows to move through your matches.

Select Clear filters to reset all selections.

Point to see mode

Select text in the proof to view its font information. The Proof Viewer highlights matches, and you can move through them using the arrows.
