Summary: Our latest integration with the Asana app enables users to send proofs to Ziflow easily from their Asana tasks. This integration allows you to create new proofs from a task or link an existing proof with an Asana task.
Available on: Pro & Enterprise editions.

How to connect Asana with Ziflow
As a first step when setting up the integration, you will need to install the Ziflow App to let Ziflow connect with your Asana project. You can start by adding a Ziflow app to your Asana project.
Click on a Customize button in the upper right corner of your Asana project and select the Apps menu.
Find Ziflow in the Asana marketplace app directory.
When Ziflow is selected, you'll be asked to add it to your project.
In the following step, please press the Connect to Ziflow button.
Sign in to the Ziflow platform with your email address.
If you're using multiple tenants, please select the one you want connected to Asana.
If you successfully connected Ziflow to Asana, you should get a confirmation message about that event.
With the established connection, you can start creating proofs directly from your Asana tasks.
How do I start submitting proofs from the Asana task?
Before proceeding, kindly ensure that the Asana task has some files/attachments. To initiate a proof at the task level, it is necessary to have at least one file attached, which will serve as a proof asset in Ziflow.
In the next step, you can open task details and find a new Ziflow field. When you click on it, it will give you two options:
Create proof
Attach proof
Please select the first option to create a proof. This will open a new window where you'll need to specify a proof name and select which files/attachments will become proof assets.
When you click the Submit button, the Asana task attachment will be uploaded to Ziflow. You'll also see proof details and its' status inside Asana task details.
By clicking on a proof menu in the upper right corner, you'll see three options:
View in Ziflow - open a Proof Details page of the proof in Ziflow.
Copy link - copy a proof URL if you want to share it with someone else. In order to access a proof, the individual must be a Ziflow user who has been granted proof access.
Remove from task - unlinks created proof from the Asana task.
How to link an existing proof to the Asana task?
To attach an existing proof in Ziflow to an Asana task, simply choose the Attach proof option in the Ziflow action field.
This will open a dropdown listing 20 proofs with the most recent activity. You can pick a proof that you want to link with the task from the list or paste a public URL from the Proof Details page.
You can also utilize this field to search for a specific proof by typing in and selecting its name.
Once the proof is selected, you'll see Proof Details under the Ziflow tab in your Asana task.
When you view a proof in Ziflow, and go to the integrations tab in Proof Details mode, you will notice that the proof is connected to an Asana task. The task details will be displayed and updated on the proof level if any changes are made on the Asana level.
To enable Asana fields at the Proof Details level, please go ahead and navigate to the connection settings and activate them by selecting the Show option. This option is only available on Pro and Enterprise editions.

Additional information:
Currently, in Asana, you cannot control how proofs will look on the Ziflow side. This is because proofs are created with a single reviewer (review owner) and empty proof settings. After submitting the proof, it is possible to make adjustments to it based on your requirements. To do so, access the Proof Details Page and make the necessary changes, such as adding reviewers or adjusting settings.
Another way of updating proofs according to your needs is utilizing our Zibots and updating proofs automatically after they're created by Asana-Ziflow integration (only Pro and Enterprise editions). Start by creating a flow that will be triggered based on proof creation where the proof source is Asana.
β
Then, you can set a flow that automatically updates the proof workflow template in proofs created with the integration.
βCurrently, we only allow for the creation of new proofs. Therefore, it is not currently possible to add new versions of existing proofs.
