Use the DaVinci Resolve Studio plugin

Use Ziflow to review Davinci projects, gather feedback, and track changes. Integrating the two tools helps you manage design reviews more efficiently.

Available on: Free Standard Pro Enterprise

Install, configure, and activate the Ziflow plugin for DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 on Windows and macOS.

Only DaVinci Resolve Studio is supported (not DaVinci Resolve free edition)

Prerequisites

Download the Ziflow plugin

Download the latest plugin version for your environment:

After downloading:

  • Unzip the package
  • Ensure the extracted folder is named exactly:
com.ziflow.plugin

The folder name must not be changed.

Install the plugin

Locate the workflow integration directory

Depending on your operating system, navigate to the appropriate folder:

Windows

C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Workflow Integration Plugins

macOS

/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Workflow Integration Plugins/

If the folder Workflow Integration Plugins does not exist, create it manually.

Copy the plugin

Paste the entire com.ziflow.plugin folder into the Workflow Integration Plugin folder.

Launch DaVinci Resolve Studio

  1. Open DaVinci Resolve Studio 20.
  2. Create a new project in DaVinci Resolve.
  3. Import or upload your video into the project timeline.

Launch the Ziflow plugin

  1. In DaVinci Resolve, go to: Workspace > Workflow Integrations > Ziflow.
    The Ziflow plugin panel opens.

  2. Log into Ziflow.
    After successful authentication, you will see the Proof List.

Create a proof from DaVinci Resolve

  1. Select Create Proof.
  2. Verify that your DaVinci Resolve project name appears in the Proof Name field.

  3. Proceed with proof creation and workflow selection.

Troubleshooting

Plugin does not appear in DaVinci Resolve

  • Confirm the folder name is exactly com.ziflow.plugin
  • Verify installation path is correct for your OS
  • Restart DaVinci Resolve after installation

Plugin not loading

  • Confirm DaVinci Resolve Studio (not free version) is installed
  • Reinstall plugin and restart application
