Ziflow introduces a Checklist results Ziflow event to create automations based on completed Checklists or specific checklist items. You’ll also find a WYSIWYG editor included in checklist item descriptions, making it easier to create clear, formatted review guidance.

New Ziflow Connect trigger for Checklists and check items

With this release, Ziflow Connect now includes a new trigger type: “Checklist results.” This trigger can be configured to fire when an entire Checklist is completed, or when a specific checklist item is selected.

To provide even more control, triggers can now be configured to fire based on who completed the Checklist or item. You can choose to activate a flow when a Checklist is completed by any reviewer (user or guest) or by a specific individual, selectable via a type-ahead entry field.

Additionally, the Checklist itself can now be referenced later in the Flow, enabling more complex and conditional automation sequences.

This enhancement unlocks powerful new automation possibilities in Ziflow Connect, allowing teams to take action based on structured, checklist-driven feedback. And in the future, you’ll be able to trigger additional flow stages automatically once Ziflow’s upcoming ReviewAI feature verifies checklist items.

New WYSIWYG editor: Now available for Checklist item descriptions

We’ve added our new WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor to Checklist item descriptions, bringing richer formatting options and a more consistent writing experience across Ziflow.

This enhanced editor includes familiar formatting tools—bold, italics, strikethrough, bulleted and numbered lists, hyperlinks, and more—allowing you to provide clearer context and guidance for reviewers. Checklist descriptions support up to 3,000 characters, giving Admins plenty of room to define detailed review criteria or creative standards.

This editor is powered by the same WYSIWYG technology we recently introduced for Proof Briefs, and all content is saved as markdown (not markup). This ensures consistent formatting, cleaner data storage, and better compatibility with upcoming ReviewAI enhancements, which will use checklist descriptions to generate more precise and context-aware analysis. For more information about creating checklists, see Create and edit checklists.
