Ziflow’s Canvas View—Now in Public Preview!
Ziflow is excited to introduce Canvas View, a powerful new way to engage with multi-asset reviews, now available in public preview. This marks another major release from our broader Project Mosaic initiative, designed to redefine collaboration in online proofing.
Unlike Gallery View, which catalogs and categorizes individual assets for streamlined interaction and review, Canvas View transforms your proofs into an interactive, resizable workspace—allowing teams to visualize an entire project at a glance. Think of it as a virtual whiteboard, where assets can be repositioned, resized, and organized within a flexible layout, giving reviewers the ability to see the big picture and move seamlessly between assets.
Creative teams often need to evaluate campaigns holistically, ensuring all assets work together as a cohesive project. With Canvas View, you can:
- Arrange and resize proofs dynamically within an open workspace.
- See the full scope of a campaign—from web banners and social ads to video thumbnails and document layouts—all in one place.
- Quickly navigate between assets for deeper inspection, markup, and approval.
Canvas View isn’t just flexible—it’s fully customizable to fit the way your team works, with multiple view options that allows your users to arrange proofs in a variety of ways. For example:
- The “Layout Type” drop down menu allows you to select between a set of pre-set views that will arrange your proofs in a way that fit the screen for a particular review context. Presets include: Multi-asset, Multi-variant, Photo Selection, or Document views.
- The “Scale Type” settings allows you to quickly change your view to see assets at their Original Size, scale them to be the Same Size, or adjust them dynamically to Fit the Canvas View.
- The “Layout Direction” selector helps you organize assets in a Horizontal layout or a Wrapped view for even greater control over how your proofs are displayed.
Canvas View offers all of these settings, plus the ability to sort by Name, Date Created, and a whole host of size and shape options to more precisely tune your view.
Whether you’re managing large-scale marketing campaigns, creative variations, or high-volume design projects, Canvas View helps teams move from asset-level reviews to full-project collaboration. Ziflow is excited to release it in public preview for you and your team to experience it before our general release.
Connect a proof to an item in your project management tool via a URL or ID number
With searchable dropdown menus that query the database of your PM tool in real-time, Ziflow’s Integrations panel in the Proof Creation screen or Proof Details fly-out is extremely useful for associating a proof to a given item or task within your project management system. However, we’ve heard from several high-volume customers that need to connect a proof to a task/item faster than even drop down menus would allow.
With this release, we’re adding the ability to copy/paste the item or task URL into the Integrations widget, at which point we’ll automatically pull the details and populate the fields. Or, if you have a task or item ID number close-at-hand, simply enter (or copy/paste) the Item/Task ID, and we’ll automatically fetch the corresponding project.
This new functionality works seamlessly with our Asana, ClickUp, JIRA, Basecamp, and monday.com integrations, and is designed to help you link your proof to your tasks even quicker than before. But if you prefer to browse for a project from a list or type-to-search, clicking “Search” will reveal the dropdown menus you used previously.
Select the right board/project for a multi-homed Asana task
We’re enhancing our Asana integration by giving users more control over which board or project a proof is linked to when creating a proof for an Asana task that’s tied to more than one board/project.
If an Asana task belongs to only one board/project, the proof creation form will automatically populate the correct project. If an Asana task is linked to multiple boards/projects, the proof creation form will now display a dropdown menu of all associated boards/projects, allowing users to select the appropriate one. NOTE: a linked board/project must be selected in order to proceed with proof creation.
In addition, we’ve also added a “Linked Project” field in the Asana in-app widget, helping users more easily define which board/project an asset is connected to during the course of creating a new proof.
