Convert a guest into a user

When someone is first invited to review a proof in Ziflow, they are automatically added to the account as a guest. Guests can review and comment on proofs, but they can’t log in to Ziflow, create proofs, or manage account settings.

If you’d like to give a guest full user access, you don’t need to delete or recreate their account. Instead, upgrade them by adding them as a User. Ziflow automatically merges their profiles so they keep all their existing proof history.

Things to know

  • No data loss: All existing reviews and comments created by the guest remain intact.
  • Licensing required: Guests are free, but users require a paid seat. Make sure your account has available seats before converting.
  • Permissions: After conversion, you can set the user’s role 
  • Login enabled: The new user can now log into Ziflow and create/manage proofs in addition to reviewing them.

Convert a guest to a user

  1. Go to the People tab in your Ziflow account.
  2. Click Add User.
  3. Enter the same email address that the guest is currently using.
  4. Assign the appropriate role and permissions.
  5. Save your changes.

Once added, Ziflow will merge the guest and user profiles. All proof activity (comments, decisions, invitations) stays connected to the new User account.
